You want to install an infrastructure to which all assessors of your company have access and which all assessors can use. This includes all assessment models, management of a pool of assessors and assessments, reporting features, etc. And since this is a corporate portal it includes benchmarking options. This solution is meant to a company with a pool of assessors, with a number of assessments per year and which maintains an assessment strategy by a central quality department. If you represent a central quality department in a company that plans to build an assessment service across the company, then we recommend to buy the server solution. If you represent a very large organisation which plans to have a central assessment service and is sending assessment teams to suppliers across different countries, we recommend to consider a proper mix of server, plus a set of Raspberry Pie Capability Adviser solutions.
You are a single assessor who needs a tool to perform and manage assessments. You can manage also a team of assessors. Assessors connect to your laptop by a WLAN (you need a router connected to your laptop) and you configure and maintain assessments on Laptop based Capability Adviser. It supports like the server all assessment models, the VDA rating guide line etc. If you represent a small team of assessors and your company central quality department has no interest to build an assessment service across the entire company, then we recommend to buy the Laptop or Raspberry Pie Capability Adviser Software.

In case you need to connect assessors in an online assessment from different locations, including people outside your company network, you can rent an organisation space in an ISCN assessment portal in the cloud. This is then like a portal solution but the portal is not run by your IT department but is maintained on ISCN side. If you represent a medium sized organisation with a number of assessments managed across departments and still with a limited number of assessments per year, the rented assessment server space option makes sense.
Version 8.3 of the Capability Adviser is available! Check out our release notes for more information about the new features we added and the improvements we made to the best assessment tool.
It is developed as a multi-user database portal which supports the work of the assessment team. Assessors working in a team can see the comments and ratings from other assessors during the interview in real-time aswell as add evidences and link them to a given process. There is also the option of using a so-called "report assessor" that can be used to consolidate the results and generate a Word or PDF Report with.
The Capability Adviser supports Automotive SPICE™ 3.1, ISO 15504/ISO 330xx series, ASPICE Extension for ISO 26262, ASPICE Extension for Cybersecurity, Hardware SPICE and Mechanic SPICE. The rules (RL) and recommendations (RC) of the VDA guidelines are displayed per BP and GP during the assessment. Moreover, the Capability Adviser database contains all relationships so that rule violations are identified and displayed to the assessor. Additionally, creating your own domains from scratch or using existing parts has never been easier.
The Capability Adviser has export and import interfaces to different scalable solutions: Server, Laptop, Raspberry Pie, Cloud Account. This allows you to add and change solutions depending on your business needs. The portal features roles for both assessors and business units alike to remain well organized, aswell as administrative roles for e.g. benchmarking and domain management.
Robert BOSCH central quality division runs a BOSCH wide server, and assessors from all sites can use/access it. In divisions like BOSCH AS first a Raspberry server is used in the local assessment, then the assessment is exported and imported to the central server. Most use the central serer directly with a https access. Each business unit has an organizational account and each assessor has an assessor account.
ZF Friedrichshafen AG uses a number of laptop licenses, and runs a central server supported by the IT in the C division in Schweinfurt. ZF has used the portal since many years and assessments since approx. 2007 are maintained in the server. Recently Raspberry servers have been provided for field testing to selected people in ZF.
HELLA uses a corporate wide portal, also applies laptop licenses and in assessments recently the Raspberry portable solutions have been used. All assessors (internal and external) are recommended to use the Capability Adviser infrastructure.
MARQUARDT uses a corporate wide portal, also applies laptop licenses. Assessors (internal and external) are recommended to use the Capability Adviser infrastructure.
What makes Capability Adviser special is that the product is scalable. You can use the software as a server, but also a small portable for single assessors, affordable for single people in the entire iNTACS community. See here the Raspberry solution through which we have a growing number of single consultants and assessors using the system.
The SOQRATES partnership helps to develop new content which can be integrated to the Capability Adviser system. This e.g. refers to the ASPICE extension for functional safety and the ASPICE extension for cybersecurity, as well as the development of HW SPICE.
