APS Logo

APS plays a major role in establishing contacts with the Austrian government, and it is expected that the social environment of the conference (e.g. the reception) will be done by Hungarian and Austrian political representatives (with the theme "A Bridge between West and East").
ESI Logo
The ESI is a major industrial initiative founded under the auspices of the European Commission and the Basque government to promote and disseminate advanced best practice in software engineering in order to encourage excellence in European industry.
From the beginning the institute has brought together software users and suppliers through membership agreeements helping them to identify the most appropriate practice for their organisation and how to achieve continuous improvement of the software process.
The ESI in its dissemination role of software best practice initiatives supports its members through the participation in ISCN conferences, especially MTA Sztaki and IVF who are active members of the event. ESI will participate in the programme design and in the organisation through the active promotion of the conference.
ISCN Logo
ISCN is planning to run a set of conferences in Central and Eastern Europe strategically focusing on the establishment of an East-West business initiative in the process improvement field basing on
  • IT systems supporting the transnational co-operation
  • Learning principles enabling fast evolution of Central and Eastern European software capabilities
  • process improvement experience exchange
  • process improvement coaching for Eastern European firms to become potential developement sources for Western Europe to increase Europe's competitiveness in general
Thus for ISCN this conference is just a starting point for a longer lasting co-operation mission.
  • IVF Logo
IVF as a member of ESI largely contributes to the success of this ESI & ISCN 1997 event and will get a position in the establishment of the bridge between Austria and Hungary as a third country. It is important to bring Swedish users into the position not only to exchange process improvement know-how but to exploit the Eastern European potentials of quality development at lower cost in future which is essential for winning international markets.
